Fees and policies

COGNITION fees are moderate. We aim to charge reasonable fees for the calibre of service quality provided and the experience of the practitioners involved.

Private Health and Medicare

There is a contribution required from you to cover the gap between the rebate paid by Medicare or your private health insurance. The amount of your contribution will vary according to which psychologist you see and/or the private health fund you belong to. Our friendly reception staff will be pleased to give you details of the fee.

Please note that we offer EFTPos and credit card facilities for your convenience and your fee is discounted for payment on the day.  Payment is requested at the close of the consultation unless prior arrangements are made to take an account.

Consultations under the Workers Compensation or Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance schemes

The government gazettes the fees for these consultations. You are not responsible for payment of the fee for your consultation if you have an accepted claim for psychological injury and, in the case of Compulsory Third Party, you have an appropriate referral.

If your workers compensation claim is still in the process of being determined, please let the receptionist know and we will discuss this matter with you. Under some circumstances you may have a limited number of consultations paid for while the claim is being determined. In other situations, we will ask you to pay for your consultations and you may then seek recompense later from the appropriate body.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or Employer - Referred consultations

Your employer will meet the cost of your consultations. There is a limit on the number of consultations you will be entitled to. Please discuss this with your employer, or our reception staff will be pleased to help you with any queries you may have.
