COGNITION provides trauma management services around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for organisations to which we are contracted.
A traumatic event may include such things as an armed hold-up, assault, death, industrial accident, or similar emergencies that require immediate attention.
Please telephone COGNITION if a traumatic event has occurred and advise the following:
- Your name and that of the organisation you are calling from
- Your contact telephone number
- The reason for your contact, making it clear it is an emergency
A psychologist will receive a paged request to return your call.
This service is generally not available to organisations with whom we have no prior relationship, however if we have available resources at the time of the event, we would be willing to discuss providing assistance. Please telephone COGNITION and advise the organisation you are calling from, your name, contact telephone number, and the reason for your contact. Make it clear it is an emergency. A psychologist will receive a paged request to return your call.
If you are an organisation with a foreseeable risk of a traumatic event, we would welcome discussing the provision of a planned service for your organisation.
We do not provide an emergency service to individual members of the public with whom we have no prior relationship.
Please refer to the Emergency section of this website for advice, or contact the police, or the relevant emergency, or crisis service.
