Jane Coward

Jane has been registered to practice since 2010. She holds various qualifications including a Master of Psychology (Work and Organisational), a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. She provides general, wellbeing and mental health psychological services and is also an endorsed Organisational Psychologist.

Jane enjoys working with individuals and draws on various approaches including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy and Positive Psychology. She has also undertaken specific practical training, for example, to assist her to work more effectively with males, and she has completed domestic violence training, suicide prevention training and Mental Health First Aid training.

Jane has strong interest in working with individuals to address a broad range of issues and is pleased to receive referrals for matters, such as:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Stress arising from personal matters or as a result of work issues (e.g., workload pressures, bullying and harassment, conflict, etc)
  • Support following a critical incident or trauma
  • Problem solving to address a range of life issues
  • Building resilience, including reducing and managing stress
  • Identifying and capitalising on personal strengths and maximising potential
  • Strengthening interpersonal relationships, especially within the workplace
  • Supporting individuals to return to work following an injury

Jane is available to accept referrals under Medicare or private health and will see individuals with work injury claims within her range of expertise. She is also available to accept referrals under Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). With her combination of mental health and organisational knowledge, people often seek Jane out to assist them, as she is able to provide a balanced perspective and useful insights. In addition, Jane offers ‘tips and tools’ to individuals who wish to perform more effectively at work or navigate complex organisational factors influencing their health and wellbeing.

Regarding Jane’s interests in conducting organisational interventions, she has solid skills and experience in areas such as:

  • Group facilitation and training delivery
